My name is Adam Hardtke. I'm just your ordinary pilot/photographer/webmaster. I graduated in 2003 with a B.A. in Astrophysics from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. While there I did photography work for Whitman College and the Walla Walla Union-Bulletin.
Post-college, I photographed events for the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, Seattle University, and University of Washington while taking flying lessons. Eventually I became a flight instructor at Avian Flight Center in Bremerton, Washington.
I went on to be a First Officer with Great Lakes in Denver, followed by First Officer with Horizon Airlines in Portland, Oregon. The photo below is of me standing in front of one of Horizon's CRJ-700s, which I flew for a little more than a year (not non-stop!).
Prior to being furloughed, I "landed" a job with Big Fish Games as a Web Developer, which is where I work today.
To stay current on photography, I still photograph some events for the University of Washington, including Softball and Team Posters.
Here I am, standing in front of one of Horizon Air's Regional Jets in Spokane, Washington.
